Meet Seth, Dallas, and Major Sonnie Bates
In 2000, my prior husband, Major Sonnie Bates had reported to base at Dover AFB, Delaware. He noticed that dozens were extremely ill following the anthrax vaccine. Autoimmune disorders, but all had some common link. He approached his commander and said that he would refuse the vaccine. The military threatened him with a court martial and 5 years in prison. He refused to take the vaccine and made headlines around the world and appeared on 60 minutes.
During this time I received a call from the president of Autism Europe Society, Paul Shattock. He wanted to covey that the autism community was behind my husband’s refusal in Europe and he had written the Dept. of Defense. He had read that my son, Seth was autistic and asked me if it was from his vaccines. I was confused and he explained to me about the autism- vaccine connection. I received mail and phone communications from hundreds that were injured by vaccines after he appeared on 60 minutes.
I remembered that my son had a bad reaction to his 4 shot series at 14 months old with high fever and a swollen leg. He regressed in speech and began watching the TV with his face in the screen. He would not make eye contact. Sonnie had went on his first overseas assignment a few days prior to this. When Sonnie returned Seth would not look at him. We initially thought that Seth’s odd behavior was due to Sonnie being away from him for the first time. It wasn’t until later that we thought to compare his pilot log with Seth’s vaccination record. It was the 4 days prior to Sonnie returning from overseas that I had taken Seth for the 4 vaccinations.
Sonnie did refuse the anthrax vaccine and was discharged from the military, fined $6000 dollars and loss of retirement. He was given a honorable discharge under general conditions. It was thought by many that the military released him due to the media storm that would have occurred when the autism community got involved.
Seth is 19 years old today. He has not received a vaccine since he was 8. He was in the best autistic program in the country, Delaware Autistic Program and has had a remarkable recovery. Graduated this past year with a 3.7. However, he continues to have a bowel disorder and social problems. He also 2-3 times a year will get flu-like symptoms and will throw up so violently that he dehydrates. Although he graduated with a 3.7 he spent graduation evening at home by himself, while most had parties they attended. Seth has made progress in all areas but he most likely will never never have a normal social life.
My oldest son, Dallas was around the same age when he developed a neurological tic and eye problems. After taking him to dozens of doctors I got no diagnoses. All the neurologist told me they had never seen this before. He is 29 years old and still has this tic and very bad eyesight and severe headaches. It is my belief that his problems started from vaccines at 13 months. I know that Seth is autistic from vaccine injury and the anthrax vaccine has disabled and killed thousands and is the direct result of Gulf War Syndrome.
