Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism

By: Marcella Piper-Terry, M.S., Founder of VaxTruth.Org

Okay. I give up.
Vaccines do not cause autism.

Autism is a behavioral diagnosis. In order to receive the diagnosis of “Autism” a child must exhibit a certain number of behaviors over a certain time frame. If he or she does not do so, the diagnosis of “autism” is not warranted.

There is no blood test for “autism.”

“Autism” can’t be confirmed or “ruled-out” by laboratory analysis. It’s strictly a behavioral diagnosis.

Therefore, anything that causes physiological damage cannot directly “cause” autism.

Ergo… vaccines cannot “cause” “autism.”

Vaccines cause other stuff.

Vaccines cause encephalitis.
Vaccines cause seizures.
Vaccines cause immune system deficiencies.
Vaccines cause gastrointestinal problems.

Encephalitis causes mood swings.
Encephalitis causes extreme pain.
Encephalitis causes inattention and impulsivity.
Encephalitis causes aggression.
Encephalitis causes balance problems and difficulty relating to one’s environment.

Seizures cause mood swings.
Seizures cause inattention and impulsivity.
Seizures cause alterations in conciousness.

Immune system deficiencies cause children to have more frequent bacterial infections, such as ear infections, upper respiratory infections (URIs), sinusutis, and strep infections.

Immune system deficiencies cause children to have more frequent viral infections, such as stomatitis, “fevers of unknown origin,” “viral rashes,” hives, conjunctivitis, and gastrointestinal viruses that cause vomiting and diarrhea.

Immune system deficiencies cause children to be more vulnerable to “everything that’s going around” and to have a tougher time getting over things than their peers.

Gastrointestinal damage from vaccines causes diarrhea.
Gastrointestinal damage from vaccines causes nausea, reflux, vomiting, and the recently discovered “disease” now known as GERD (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease).

Gatrointestinal damage from vaccines causes increased vulnerability to viruses and bacteria, which leads to increased administration of antibiotics, which leads to overgrowth of pathogenic yeast.

Pathogenic yeast overgrowth leads to intestinal hyperpermeability (“leaky gut syndrome”).

Pathogenic yeast overgrowth leads to constipation.
Pathogenic yeast overgrowth leads to food allergies.
Pathogenic yeast overgrowth leads to skin eruptions, “drunken, silly behavior,” inattention and impulsivity, and cravings for bread, sugar, ice cream, milk, and carbohydrates.

Technically, vaccines do not cause autism because techincally there is no such thing as autism.

Vaccines cause the underlying physical conditions that result in the pain, neurological damage, immune system disorders, gastrointestinal damage, and yeast overgrowth – all of which combine to produce the behavioral symptoms that result in the “autism” diagnosis.

Gastrointestinal damage is the most obvious result of vaccine damage.

When a previously healthy child suddenly starts having multiple episodes of watery and extremely stinky diarrhea every day, and this happens shortly after receiving vaccinations, it is notable as a “vaccine injury.” What is not so obvious is that when the child’s gut is permanently damaged, he or she is no longer able to absorb nutrients necessary to produce neurotransmitters necessary for proper brain function. So when the child develops mood swings, sleep difficulties, and learning disabilities several months later, these issues are not recognized as being related to the vaccine injury because the initial damage occurred many months earlier.

Please re-read the previous paragraph.

This is why Dr. Andrew Wakefield is such a threat to the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Wakefield NEVER said vaccines cause autism.
Dr. Wakefield is a gastroenterologist. He saw a number of children with gastrointestinal problems who also happened to be diagnosed with autism. Dr. Wakefield reported his observations. He never claimed that the MMR “caused” autism. He merely reported that a number of children he had seen had BOTH gastrointestinal problems AND autism, and according to parental report, these issues developed within a short time of when the children received the MMR vaccine.

Again… Why is Dr. Wakefield such a threat to the pharmaceutical industry?

Hint: Not because vaccines cause autism – they don’t.

Vaccines cause gastrointestinal damage.

Gastrointestinal damage causes malabsorption of nutrients necessary for proper brain function.
Malabsorption of essential nutrients causes immune system disorders, seizures, encephalopathy, etc… and THAT’s what leads to the ultimate diagnosis of “autism.”

If Dr. Wakefield’s observations are correct, SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE will eventually draw the connection between vaccines and the domino-effect that leads to the “autism” diagnosis. From the perspective of the pharmaceutical industry, better to “nip it in the bud” now, which means discrediting Dr. Wakefield to the extent that no one will look further into the science.

Has this ploy worked?
Not for me. And not for many of the very intelligent parents I know.
Only time will tell if there are enough of us to make a difference.

  1. Hey, this is really insightful. I am new to learning about the harms of vaccines. My chiropractor suggested that I not vaccinate and I really thought I would look into it before I did, but time came and went and here I am 11 months later with an up-to-date vaccinated son. I WILL NOT be vaccinating anymore, but my question is, how can I tell if he has suffered any complications? What can I do? He is crazy smart and his last vax was at 6 months.

    • Jennifer: Thank-you for your comment and for your question.
As you may or may not know, there are many children who are seriously vaccine-injured very early on. Many infants (some whose stories you will read here on VaxTruth) suffer life-threatening reactions to the very first vaccinations they receive. Some never make it out of the hospital after receiving the hepatitis B and Vitamin K shots at birth.

Others seem to do fine with their early rounds of vaccinations, only to have horrendous reactions to vaccines later. A great many children who have regressed into autism did so after the vaccines they received when they were 15-18 months of age. Many of these children’s parents report that they were fine prior to receiving the MMR vaccine. What may be happening with these children is that the toxins in the early vaccines damage the mitochondria, setting the stage for more obvious manifestations of vaccine-injury from subsequent doses.

Still others seem to do okay with their “early childhood vaccinations” (birth through age 2), and then develop behavioral problems and chronic illnesses after being vaccinated prior to entering kindergarten.

With vaccine-injury, there seems to be a continuum when it comes to who reacts, how severely they react, and at what stage of the process the damage becomes clinically significant. This last term, “clinically significant” is the key, I believe.

When working with children who have received diagnoses of autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or childhood bipolar disorder, one of the things I noticed was that these children almost universally had evidence of gastrointestinal problems from a young age. Many were intolerant of milk, they had allergies and eczema, and they were prone to frequent ear infections and upper respiratory infections. They often had histories of problems with constipation; sometimes it was so severe that they would have a bowel movement only once a week or less. All of these issues can be more subtle signs of vaccine-injury. These are also issues that are often very responsive to changes in diet and other interventions such as chiropractic adjustment.

If your son has any of the above-named issues, your chiropractor may be particularly helpful in assisting you with reversing any damage that has been done up to this point. I would also suggest that you check out the article, “Autism is Treatable” here on VaxTruth: http://vaxtruth.org/2011/08/autism-is-treatable/

Regardless of whether your son has suffered any damage from vaccines he received previously, you are to be commended for being proactive about his health! You have so much power as his mother and you will no doubt continue to learn and apply the best care for him. One thing you must not do is waste any time on feeling guilty for what is in the past. That is something that many of us have struggled with, and believe me… it will get you nowhere.

I hope you find information here that will be helpful to you as you proceed from this point forward.
Many blessings to you, and to your little one.

  2. This is a miracle that by chance I found Dr. Mercola website, and now I’m here! Thanks you for all the information although it’s a bit late for me since both of my children ages 4 and 2 already have received their early childhood vaccines, I’m very sad that why I was fully confident about vaccines and were seriouse about the schedule to take my children to receive their shots but still I’m thankful that I know it today so can prevent further damage.

this paragraph you mentione above is exactly what happened to my son who shows reaction to the MMR vaccine which they gave at birth in my country,
“When working with children who have received diagnoses of autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or childhood bipolar disorder, one of the things I noticed was that these children almost universally had evidence of gastrointestinal problems from a young age. Many were intolerant of milk, they had allergies and eczema, and they were prone to frequent ear infections and upper respiratory infections. All of these issues can be more subtle signs of vaccine-injury.”
He showed a reaction under his arms and his lymph nodes that lasts for few months! he almost had and still have some of above mentioned symptoms like gastrointestinal problems and some kind of abnormal ADHD (hyper when he shouldn’t be and conservative when he should be active like in play ground) and we really have difficulties managing him at home and school, now that I’m seeing to his condition from other point of views I note that there all could be the causes of junk vaccines we injected him since the very first day of birth :( as you told past is past, but we can decide about future, they still have few vaccines when entering kindergarten, can I probably stop vaccination from now on? I’d definitly don’t shot the HPV to my daughter but they also have Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus Hepatitis B Polio Haemophilus Influenzae type B and Meningococcal. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for everything, you save those innocent lives

  3. It is inaccurate to say that vaccines do not cause autism. The absence of a blood or other diagnostic physiological marker does not mean that autism is not the result of vaccine-derived brain damage and the specific type of encephalopathy we call autism. Autism did not exist before the pertussis vaccine. Dr. Leo Kanner worked with his colleagues at Johns Hopkins in the mid 1930s on a compendium of every neurological disease or disorder known to man, and described nothing resembling autism. Dr. Kanner examined the first autistic children in 1938 and wrote his landmark article on the condition in 1943, describing it as something never before seen or described by anyone. It only occurred in families rich enough to pay for the latest medical technology (the pertussis vaccine), mystifying experts everywhere, until the 1960s, when government-funded vaccine programs made the DTP vaccine available to everyone. At that time autism started to be found in all social classes. Autism rates stayed at about one in ten thousand until the late 1980s, when the MMR and the hep-B vaccine sent rates upward in the modern tsunami we are familiar with, one in eighty-eight now in Missouri, one in forty-eight boys.
I didn’t want my daughter to get the hep-B vaccine, the pediatrician agreed, but forgot to tell the staff at the hospital, who gave it to her without asking permission. She reacted with four days and nights of constant, inconsolable screaming (vaccine-induced encephalitis, see Merck Manual), and was later diagnosed with autism. The package inserts of many vaccines recognize autism as a reported adverse reaction to the vaccine. Dr. Wakefield’s case study focused on twelve children who developed bowel disease shortly after getting the MMR, and nine of them became autistic shortly afterward as well. His study was impeccably done and supported by the observations and lab studies of many professionals. In the U.S. hundreds of thousands of children were developing normally, walking, talking, socializing, until they got the MMR and suddenly plunged into autism and/or bowel disease. A federal court conceded that Hannah Poling’s autism was caused by vaccines. She was completely healthy and happy, and above normal in her social development, being chosen to be a normal peer in a preschool class for developmentally-disabled children. After getting a number of vaccines in the same visit, she regressed into autism. People with no financial interest in defending vaccines would say, as the court did, that this is an open and shut causal relationship, that is occurring in numbers that are too great and too devastating in their long-term implications both for individuals, families, and society for most people to be able to comprehend. Almost half of American children have been permanently damaged by vaccines, one in nine has asthma, one in six a learning disability, one in ten ADHD, one in 88 autism. In the 1950s the rate of diabetes in children was one in 7,100. Now it’s one in 400. In 1979 2 million American children under 14 had asthma, now 9 million under 18 do. In 1976, when children were only damaged by the smallpox, DTP, and polio vaccines, there were 796,000 learning-disabled children in public schools: now there are 3 million. In the 1940s, before the widespread use of vaccines, there were nearly none.
Do you have to have a lab test before you consider that you have proof of a causal reaction between a vaccine and autism? Wouldn’t parents rather take their chances with usually harmless diseases like measles, mumps, or rubella, than play vaccine roulette with their children?

    • Thank-you so much for your wonderful comment.
I think we have had a bit of a communication breakdown that is most likely related to the title of my article.
Other than that, you and I are in complete agreement.

You are obviously someone who has done your homework and your writing is impeccible.
Thank-you for your excellent contribution to this discussion!

I am so sorry for what was done to your daughter. I have heard other people say that their children were vaccinated against hep B without their consent. In one discussion yesterday I also heard from a the aunt of an 18 year-old girl in California who suddenly became extremely confused and suffered both neurological and physical symptoms consistent with vaccine-injury. She has no memory of anything prior to the loss of functioning and cannot tell anyone whether or not she was vaccinated but the family suspects she may have received a Gardasil injection. As you are no doubt aware, this vaccine, which is marketed as being effective at preventing Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) has (as of yesterday’s search of the VAERS database) killed more than 100 young girls, boys, and women. This is a huge concern for us at Vaxtruth. One of the things we are exceptionally worried about is the recent passage of AB499 in California, which removes parental rights and leaves it in the hands of children as young as 12 to be vaccinated with Gardasil without their parents’ knowledge. The episode related to me by my friend yesterday further highlights those concerns.

I hope you will give Vaxtruth and the article “Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism” another review. The title of the article is provocative and it is meant to be so. If you read through other things on this website you will notice that I often put the term “autism” in quotations. I do this because I believe the term is a misnomer for what should be referred to as “vaccine-injury.” When we approach individuals who have been “educated” by the mainstream media, the first response is often, “Vaccines do not cause autism. It’s been proven they don’t.” Lately, the next thing we are likely to hear is, “That Dr. Wakefield should be…. (insert the nastiest punishment you can imagine) for what he did. He scared parents into not vaccinating and now we have re-emerging diseases as a result. (things usually escalate here and the voice goes up higher and becomes louder and more forceful) Babies are DYING BECAUSE OF HIM!!!!!” That kind of response is hard to crack. There is so much emotion and so much misinformation that when we talk about vaccines and “autism” we are often left spinning our wheels and reaching for something to help bring down our blood pressure.

The article “Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism” was written and titled in such a way as to get people to read it. I first wrote it as a note on facebook. When I sent it out, I got a few comments like yours from fellow autism/vaccine advocates who remarked, “YES THEY DO!” I quickly realized that their responses were due to something I have also been guilty of at times, especially when I am very busy and juggling multiple messages, articles, and discussions simultaneously. I admit that on occasion I see something fly across the screen, read the first few lines, click out and feel satisfied that I know what the article is about. I sincerely hope this was what happened in this situation. As I noted above, I am very impressed with your knowledge and writing skills, but what really impresses me is your passion and your willingness to come here and share what you know. Thank-you.

      Many blessings to you,
      Marci

  4. Please read carefully. You need to update something.

Autism WAS formerly considered a behavioral diagnosis, but it is actually a neurological diagnosis, not behavioral. More recent studies have drawn sufficient correlations in electroenceaphalograms (EEGs) of both Autistic and Non-Autistic children to show that Autism is neurological.

Autism is in fact a genetic neurological spectral disorder (spectral disorder means at one end a person could theoretically HAVE it, genetically and even neurologically, without ever being diagnosed, due to lack of behavioral/social symptoms, BUT at the other end it can also have devastating symptoms, all depending individual). Unlike most subchromosomal genetic disorders (EG Goucher, Tay Sachs, Cri Du Che, etc.), Autism is caused not by a single mutation but by a suite of mutations acting in concert. Not all individual Autistics have the entire suite (which partly may explain the many, many different symptomatic subgroups of people with Autism), but they all have at least a “quorum,” for lack of a better word, of these mutations.

Autism is still diagnosed largely from behavioral evidence at least initially, and then, nowadays, the diagnosis would be confirmed with an EEG. A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) search for the several mutations I mentioned earlier is, strictly speaking, possible, but due to the number of loci (IE addresses on your child’s DNA) where they are found, it’s practicality for Autism in particular is debatable. Even if medical doctors and biologists ultimately do decide it’s practical to look for that many loci, however, it is a somewhat expensive test.

By “somewhat,” I mean it’s not NASA line item expensive, but the family of a special needs child undergoing diagnosis probably couldn’t afford it after other early treatments. Please see CampEmerge.org and AutismSpeaks.org for more on this topic. Feel free to run a JSTOR or PubMed Search on some of the biochemistry I talked about in here as well.

The point is that Autism is not, as was formerly thought, an arbitrary diagnosis based on problematic behaviors. Please update this article.

    • I appreciate your comment.
Please understand that I fully realize the biological basis of the predisposition to autism(s) and of the systemic illness that children who carry this diagnosis frequently have.
I am aware of the “genetic” argument. I am also aware that exposures to toxins alter gene expression, and the many different toxic exposures that are possible, including those in both parents and in grandparents are likely contributors to the “genetic” predisposition.
That does not change the fact that vaccines trigger the manifestations, including the neurological, gastrointestinal, and immune system problems. Vaccines are just one more toxic assault and the reason they do so much damage in some children and not others is due to the “genetic” mutations that have been caused by previous assaults to the gene pool.

I do absolutely agree with you: autism is not an arbitrary diagnosis based on problematic behaviors. Unfortunately, for a great many parents, that’s all their children receive.

      • Vaccines can change genetics. I never realized the term genetic did not just mean “from your genetic history” that genetics can actually be changed or a switch can be flipped by vaccines. I have it with my daughter -although prone to allergy theoretically her switch was flipped at 18 mo 2 weeks after most amount of shots. She is now anaphylactic to peanuts which she was not before 18 mo. I have read EVERY study and been researching for 12 +years. I am not anti vaccine but we are giving them too many at once, too soon and on weak gut (antibiotics lack of Vit D and Probiotics). We did a survey monkey and to summarize this is what is causing genetic changes for anaphylactic children over the past 15 years. Vaccines individually may be safe -or it depends on the health of the gut but 2-6 at once —no way!

        • Kozzone,

Have you read Heather Fraser’s The Peanut Allergy Epidemic? It’s a wonderful book, well-researched. She says that between 1993 and 1996 peanut allergies in the US tripled, in just three years! Mirrored in other First World countries with similar increases in the vaccine schedule at that time. Third World countries which did not jump on this bandwagon continued to have almost zero peanut allergies. She draws correlations with the autism epidemic, which also started about 1990, also caused by vaccines, which greatly increased in number around 1990. My daughter reacted to vaccines with autism, she reacted with encephalitits to the one hep-B vaccine given at birth without permission, and to the DTaP booster given singly at 18 months by having her only two words erased, and was diagnosed with autism two months later. I am anti-vaccine. Even given only one at a time, vaccines are very dangerous and often cause encephalopathy (brain damage, autism, seizure disorders, learning disabilities etc.) and allergies and autoimmune diseases of every kind. What diseases do people think are so dangerous that it’s worth endangering their chlldren’s lives and neurological health to attempt to prevent? Pertussis is only dangerous to young babies in the first three or four months of life. The acellular vaccine often doesn’t protect people from getting the disease (my thrice-vaxed baby caught it at 8 months and gave it to me), and Hilary Butler says that since it doesn’t and can’t include ACT, it doesn’t prevent transmission. That means that the only way to protect the only group in danger from the disease is quarantine at home. The vax continues to be very dangerous, causing autism, allergies, asthma, seizure disorders, and SIDS. Measles is not a dangerous disease in well-nourished First World populations, especially in children. Bonnie Offit’s office website says, to scare people into getting the MMR, that measles used to cause four million cases a year, with 500 deaths. I don’t know where she got that figure, around 1960 it was only one million a year, but it is correct in its figure of only one to two deaths in every ten thousand who got measles. This figure is borne out in Royal Health statistics from 1940-2005. Big Pharma has built up measles as a killer disease in order to scare people into getting the very dangerous MMR vaccine. Fraser’s book explains how the Hib vaccine is a major cause of peanut allergies: breastfeeding for as long as possible and avoidance of daycare are the best protection from Hib disease, caused by bacteria that many people carry around all the time without their causing disease. Most adults have achieved immunity through subclinical exposure.

Fraser talks about a crosspoint having been reached among parents, the point at which the dangers of the vaccines are greater than the dangers from the diseases. At that point more and more parents rightly refuse the vaccines. She says that that tipping point for autism was reached in 2000, and that it will soon be reached for peanut allergies.

    • Mr. Stropnicky:
There is a genetic predisposition to be damaged by vaccines, but the genes do not cause autism unless there is an environmental insult like vaccines. I reacted to a DTP shot as an infant with days of inconsolable crying, my brother reacted to one by beating his head on the side of the crib. I only realized that we both have Asperger’s syndrome after reading descriptions of it when my daughter became autistic. She was born healthy, but given the hep-B vaccine the first day at the hospital. She reacted with four days and nights of constant inconsolable screaming, and was later diagnosed with autism. My brother’s oldest son did the same, and was diagnosed with autism. I got a tetanus booster when I was nineteen, and both my arms became paralyzed the same day. The paralysis, brachioplexal neuropathy, only lasted for two days, but it set into motion the autoimmune reaction which ended in my diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, with numbness, dizziness, optic neuritis, double vision, and for six weeks during one attack, both my left arm and left leg being completely paralyzed.
Autism did not exist before the late 1930s, after the first pertussis vaccine began to be given to rich people who could afford it. Dr. Leo Kanner wrote a paper on it in 1943, in which he said that such a condition had never before been seen or described anywhere, and that if such a strange and dramatic condition had existed, it would have been noticed. Only rich children got autism until the public health programs of the ’50s and ’60s put the DPT into the reach of all, so for the first time all social classes were equally damaged by it. Multiple sclerosis did not exist before the early nineteenth century, after the smallpox vaccine found widespread use, and again, it was noted that if it had existed before, it was so dramatic in its usual exacerbating remitting nature that somone would have noticed it.
There is a genetic predisposition to react to vaccines, but everyone has a tipping point which, if passed, will cause them to react tragically to vaccines, as we have seen with the upward spiral of autism tracking the upward spiral of vaccine use.

    • There is a genetic propensity to be damaged by vaccines, but if there is no vaccine damage, autism does not develop. Read Mark Blaxill and Dan Olmsted’s The Age of Autism for an extremely compelling and well-documented account of the beginnings of autism, caused by mercury in the just-developed fungicides and the diphtheria vaccine, starting in the 1930s. Before that, there was none.

      • My son, age 6.5, was diagnosed with moderate level autism and apraxia of speech at age 2.5 y/o. He is 100% unvaxed in terms of childhood vaccines. My belief is that a main cause/etiology of autism is viruses, whether they are injected into the body via a vaccine, or acquired via environmental exposure.

My son had his first viral illness (a cold), which he acquired from me, at 10 months old. At that point in time, he developed loose mashed potato like diarrhea. His diarrhea cleared up (to solid stools) after 8 weeks of anti-viral GcMAF injections. His “autistic” symptoms are resolving, as well, through GcMAF injections.

We go through dr. Jeff Bradstreet MD for my son’s GcMAF treatment. Dr Bradstreet has reported a roughly 80% success rate with GcMAF with individuals who have autism. Success is defined, I believe, by full recovery from “autism”, or very significant improvements in autistic symptoms with GcMAF treatment.

Also, my son has a high heavy metal load of 4 metals; mercury, arsenic, aluminum, and lead. These metals did not infiltrate his body through vaccines. I do believe that, if thimerisol or aluminum are in a vaccine, some children are unable to detox the metals.

Some children have some type of genetic predisposition to immune, auto-immune, endocrine disorders. These children retain viruses in their bodies and brains, instead of mounting an immune defense against the virruses. Please do a search for “Nagalase” for more information.

I am so glad you are working with Dr. Bradstreet and that your son’s biomedical status is receiving the such good care.
I agree with you, that in some children what we call “autism” is the result of viral infections, some of which may be acquired congenitally or through natural exposure, and others may be injected through vaccines. Some kids are “viral” kids. Some kids are bacterial kids, some are kids who have mycoplasma, parasitic, and other infections such as lyme and lyme-associated infections. There are many factors that contribute to the big variety we see in presentation of “autism spectrum disorders.” In a great many children, vaccines are the trigger that results in things becoming exponentially worse for the child’s entire system. In some children, the system is already overwhelmed, and one can only postulate what might have happened if those children had been vaccinated.
Blessings to you and your son for healing.

          • I watched something brief by Mayer Eisenstein in which he said that true autism is 1/ 10,000, that someone like Temple Grandin has it. He said what we are witnessing now in schools is “vaccine-induced brain damage.”

Some people claim that they would not change their or their child’s autism; it’s a unique and quirky way of looking at life…that type of thing. Then I think of my older sister, the living hell home life often was for 7 years, with a teen/ young adult woman throwing violent temper tantrums, almost able to overpower EITHER of my parents when they tried to make her go into another room till she was done…smashing plates…lunging at us repeatedly…screaming, bloodcurdling screams, for HOURS. We couldn’t go anywhere with her. Someone had to stay home from church with her. EVERY time.

We’re not talking about the same autism at all.

I wonder if labeling confusion is part of it. I am positive (though they didn’t know to watch and track back then) that my sister has vaccine-induced brain damage.

Regarding the child being healed–that is wonderful! I think if it is similar to what is vaccine-induced, it quite likely is poisoning (my theories are still half-baked on this one!). I have another friend whose little boy is unvaccinated and autistic. He used to be “quite severely,” someone said (we’ve never met…a facebook acquaintance, so her friend’s words). She is not sure what caused it, but we have discussed other factors like acetaminophen and fish.

Still, he *seems* to be healing at a rate that perhaps he would not had he been injected.

            My email is katiecrystal23@yahoo.com.

          • Hi, Katie,
I agree with you, autism is a terrible disability for most. Temple Grandin is mistaken when she says true autism ins only one in 10,000: autism is a specific kind of brain damage that did not exist before vaccines. The smallpox vaccine seems to have caused a few cases in children left in Bedlam Asylum two hundreds years ago (reported in book Age of Autism), children who were walking, talking, developing normally until they got the smallpox vaccine, which caused an encephalitic reaction. Then a number of children from the mercury in the diphtheria and pertussis vaccines, but still not that many. In the 1970s it was two or three per ten thousand until the autism epidemic started around 1990, when two new mercury-containing vaccines were added to the schedule, HIb (see The Peanut Allergy Epidemic on its causing peanut allergies) and hep-B starting at birth. Even without mercury any vaccine can cause encephalitic brain damage from the immune system’s reacting to the vaccine assault with too much inflammation involving the brain.
There’s absolutely no reason to be causing a severe and permanent developmental disability in one in 36 American children now (U. of Minnesota study 2013): measles and pertussis are usually not that bad (I’ve had them both), mumps and chickenpox are even less serious. Breastfeeding and isolation at home are good measures to protect young babies: damaging their immune systems with vaccines really isn’t.

            Chere,
There’s one Amish boy who lived near a mercury-burning electrical plant who had autism, the only unvaccinated Amish person who had classical Kanner’s autism. A few may become autistic from toxic exposure, but nearly all who become autistic do so from vaccines. Dr. Eisenstein has a patient base of tens of thousands over forty years, with none of them autistic because he vaxes little to not at all. They won’t do the vax/unvax study because they know what it would show, and they just can’t face the consequences of the truth becoming known.

      • The only vaccine I had prior to my diagnosis of autism at age2 was smallpox.. I was not vaccinated until primary school and then haphazardly. It has been in my family tree for as many generations as I have information. My family knew I was “like great aunt —” from earliest life. I diagnosed my son at his birth, not after vaccines. all he got was Vit.K and eye goo. I agree with the “predisposition” and later aggravation by vaccines and other insults. I remember my school age brother’s high pitched screams after we were vaccinated at a cousin’s. I don’t think he would be affected today if not injured so I am not saying there is not a cascade leading to the expression, only that I personally think mine is NOT vaccine related. there is a good chance that genes along cause it for some and we were always here, just not labeled “Autistic” back when.

        • Carmen, you say you ‘only’ got the smallpox vaccine, which couldn’t have caused autism. Why do you believe that? If you do the research, you would find out that the smallpox vaccine was the worst vaccine every used. It caused many deaths and terrible injuries.
I grew up in Germany, where the smallpox vaccine was still mandatory when I was born. My father, myself, my sister and at least three of my six brothers have Asperger Syndrome (my sister is quite autistic). But of course, ALL of us also got the smallpox vaccine.
I am sure that we all inherited a genetic predisposition from my father. Vaccines can also cause gene damage that can be passed onto children. But I also believe that all of us were damaged by the smallpox vaccine.
Pictures of me before I got the vaccine at around two years of age show a vibrant, chubby, rosy-cheeked, happy little girl.
Pictures after the vaccination show a wan looking, pale, listless, skinny-as-a-stick child. I was never the same, and I was never well again, either. I don’t know what it is like to be well, they’ve ruined my health with that vaccine.

          • I read in the book The Age of Autism about the first autistic children: little children who were developing normally until they got the smallpox vaccine, and then they lost their language and started acting crazy. Their parents put them in Bedlam insane asylum. One of Kanner’s original autistic cohort in the ’30s had reacted to the smallpox vaccine with autism. The smallpox vaccine didn’t have mercury, but any vaccine can cause encephalitis which can cause the brain damage we call autism.

    • Really? We all know the damage vaccines do. Would our energies not be better spent on some aspect of that instead of these constant semantics? Seriously, people are just sounding like complete pompous asses, who want to show everyone on the www how intelligent they are. Let’s put that superior intelligence to some actual action!

  5. I think vaccines can definitely help prevent disease, because god knows I wouldn’t want my daughter to contract polio; but in the long run, we do need further testing on some of them. Perhaps doctors should ask more questions about the patient before administering. Or even do blood tests on the patient.

I also wondered if breastfed babies have less of a risk of getting damaged “leaky gut syndrome” when compared to formula fed babies, due to the fact that the raw human milk they drink is meant to repair the stomach and prevent allergies.

Maybe the answer to safer vaccines is to breastfeed babies, and children who have been weaned could drink local raw milk to keep their gut flora healthy. I know formula is convenient and said to have just as many vitamins as breast milk, but we know that it does not have the antibodies that baby needs for protection.

  6. Thimerosal (mercury) is what causes Autism !

The flu shots that pregnant women get contain Thimerosal, and it is this mercury that is then transferred to the fetus.

Geeze, when will people wake up and simply demand that Thimerosal-free shots be given and that absolutley NO Thimerosal is a safe amount !!!

    Reply

    • Thimerosal has caused most of the autism we have seen in the last few decades, but the MMR definitely also causes autism, and has never had mercury in it. It seems probable that the aluminum in the vaccines, already implicated as causing Alzheimer’s, can also cause autism. So removing mercury from most of the vaccines (not the flu vaccine though) has not been enough to eliminate the risk that vaccines may cause autism in those who get them.

  9. Becca,

The vaccines can prevent the targeted disease in many instances for a usually limited period of time, and so they prevent the deaths of some of the people who, without the vaccine, would have contracted the disease and died. But, since the vaccines themselves are extremely dangerous, causing a wide range of physical problems, even death, I think it’s much wiser to learn homeopathic and naturopathic ways of treating the diseases when they occur. If there were a polio outbreak in our area, I would be extremely frightened, and would probably have my daughter vaccinated for it, even knowing about the dangers of the polio vaccine, and how reducing sugars and starches in the diet were very effective in almost eliminating polio cases in North Carolina in 1950, while before that, and all around them, polio was rife. The tetanus vaccine is usually safe, and the disease devastating, but it has caused a lot of damage as well. I reacted to it with both arms being paralyzed for a few days, brachial plexus neuropathy, and went on to develop multiple sclerosis.

None of the vaccines is safe, but the diseases can disable or kill as well. At this time, in the U.S., vaccines are causing many times the amount of damage than the diseases are. The only thing to do is to read widely on the subject and be able to spot symptoms of serious disease, and know what to do when they occur. Personally, I’d say absolutely no hepatitis-B vaccine, no DTaP, no MMR. at any age, Pertussis and measles have not been dangerous diseases for most people for many decades. Young infants are the exception, as many as one in a hundred of babies younger than four months die if they get pertussis (whooping cough). But they aren’t protected by the vaccine at all at that young age, and a large percentage of older people aren’t protected even if they get the vaccine, which means that infants must be quarantined at home if there is any pertussis in town, until they are four or five months old, with airways developed enough to handle coughing up the mucus. Read Dr. Mayer Eisenstein’s excellent book for further information on the dangers of all of the vaccines. Also, many of the people who die of usually relatively mild diseases like measles do so because they didn’t stay in bed throughout the illness or they took Tylenol or Ibuprofen to reduce the fever, both things that greatly increase the risk of complications and mortality.

One day when everyone decides that they are not going to immunize their children, then there will be children and adults dying again of preventable diseases. Vaccinate, Vaccinate, Vaccinate….you all are looking for reasons other than genetics for the problems with your children.

It’s an incredibly common, and yet terrifying and painful, reaction. You clearly haven’t done any research on vaccines at all. These “problems” with our children are not genetic. Our children were healthy before vaccines, and would have stayed that way if they never received vaccines. I suggest you spend a little sit-down time doing some reading before you make false accusations.

    • Lisa,
I am not going to make the most obvious come-back to your post. I am however going to give you a direct quote from the Merck Manual, published by the large vaccine company, and the best-selling medical textbook in the U.S.: “Encephalitis is inflammation of the brain that occurs when a virus directly infects the brain or when a virus or something else triggers inflammation…Encephalitis can occur in the following ways: A virus directly infects the brain. A virus that caused an infection in the past becomes reactivated and directly damages the brain. A virus or VACCINE triggers a reaction that makes the immune system attack brain tissue (an autoimmune reaction). The Merck Manual, Online Medical Library, “Encephalitis,”www.merck.com/mmhe/sec06/ch089/ch089f.html.

Lucky you, if neither you nor your children reacted to a vaccine with encephalitis, asthma, allergies, bowel disease, paralysis, or diabetes. My baby reacted to the criminally asinine hepatitis-B vaccine, which she was at zero risk of being exposed to, with four days and nights of endless screaming, vaccine-induced encephalitis, and was later diagnosed with autism. I’d invite you to read Judy Converse’s book When Your Doctor is Wrong: Autism and the Hepatitis-B Vaccine, about her son experiencing the same thing as my daughter did, given that vaccine at birth without asking permission, and reacting with days of encephalitic screaming and explosive diarrhea. She testified at the congressional safety hearing in May 1999 because her tragic experience was so compelling. She said that severe reactions to this vaccine were more common than to all the other vaccines put together.
This is a quote from Vaccine Epidemic, from Annemarie Colbin’s chapter “A Holistic Health Perspective,” p. 198-9: “According to medical historian Harris Coulter, Ph.D., the occurrence of encephalitis, or brain inflammation, after vaccination is much more common than we think. Different vacines (i.e., measles, polio, and rabies) have been shown upon autopsy to produce bothmy myelin destruction (the hallmark of M.S., my note) and encephalitis. …Encephalitis, among other causes, may come from an allergic reaction to foreign protein. Vaccines may provide some of these damaging proteins, because they contain traces of monkey kidney cells and chick embryo cell cultures, as well as casein, or milk protein. The presence of these foreign proteins injected in the blood may sensitize the child to develop allergic reactions that may later manifest as allergies.
How would the foreign proteins get into the brain? The body protects the brain very carfully from unregulated fluctuations of elements in the blood (such as hormones, amino acids, mineral ions, and others) with the bblood-brain barrier. Endothelial cells inside the capillaries that bring blood to the brain establish this barrier. The cells are so tightly packed taht only certain necessary nutrients, such as glucose, are able to pass through the capillary walls into the brain. Experiments have shown that a strong solution of sugar in the blood loosens the tightly packed endothelial cells and thereby increases the permeability of the blood-brain barrier. Interetingly, once the sugar concentration disappears, the barrier returns to normal.
High-pitched crying, inconsolable screaming, head banging, rocking, seizures, convulsions, an staring episodes (which may be absence seizurees) are all indications of brain inflammation. The aftermath of brain inflammation may include speech, hearin, and vision difficulties; hyperactivity; retardation; learning disabilities; dyslexia; antisocial behavior; personality disorders; and flat ‘affect,’or the inability to respond to emotion.
We really do not have enough data on what the subtle long-term effects of vaccinations are. We cannot predict which children will respond with serious reactions and which will not. As the title of the 1982 documentary so aptly identified, ‘vaccine roulette’ may be a dangerous game.”

  11. Lisa,
The vaccine-preventable diseases are not nearly as dangerous as the vaccines. Obviously some people may die from the diseases, but they may die or be permanently disabled by the vaccines with a much greater frequency. Measles and pertussis have evolved in the last century to become relatively mild diseases in most cases. Pertussis is usually only dangerous to newborns less than four months old, among whom as many as one in a hundred may die if they get the disease. They should be quarantined at home. The vaccine is dangerous and often completely ineffective. I had measles and chickenpox as a child, like virtually all children in the 1960s, and I’m glad I did. My vaccinated baby (DTaP at 2, 4, and 6 months) caught pertussis at a La Leche League meeting when she was 8 months old, and gave it to me. The cough was alarming, ten coughs per breath, she coughed over a month, I coughed over two months, but it wasn’t dangerous, and I’m glad now we had it and have decades worth of natural immunity now. She caught chickenpox when she was nearly two, and I’m glad she got that too. You should read Wendy Lydall’s Raising a Vaccine-Free Child and Aviva Jill Romm’s Vaccinations: A Thoughtful Parent’s Guide for excellent information on treating a child with the formerly common childhood diseases. Also Dr.Mayer Eisenstein’s book Make an Informed Choice, for appalling summaries of hundreds of scientific studies indicting vaccines and dozens of horrible true VAERS reports on reactions to every vaccine.
Getting the natural diseases strengthens and educates the immune system, while getting vaccines screws it up, skewing it to an unnaturally intense Th-2 autoimmune response. Neither I nor my daughter will ever take another vaccine, preferring to take our chances with the diseases.

  12. I just read an old comment I had posted, it sounded as though I were saying the MMR had aluminum, which it doesn’t. It causes autism for other reasons, because of the vaccine-strain measles virus found in the intestines of vaccinated autistic children, and because the amount of mumps virus in the MMR was quadrupled in 1990, when the vaccine epidemic began. That being said, the killed virus vaccines have aluminum, which may very well cause autism.

    Reply

    • Yes.
I would just like to add that the MMR vaccine is often given at the same time as other vaccines that DO contain aluminum AND thimerosal. Thimerosal is still present in vaccines other than the flu vaccine. They call it “trace amounts” and are able to label the vaccines as “thimerosal-free” because thimerosal is not used as a preservative – it’s used in the manufacturing process and then “filtered out” (supposedly), leaving only “trace amounts.” However, those “trace amounts” are still above any presumed safety level for mercury and when combined with the aluminum in the vaccines there is a synergistic effect, making the combination exponentially more dangerous than either of these known neurotoxins is on its own.
As Cia mentioned in one of her comments, research shows that the blood-brain-barrier loses integrity when the balance of sugar is disrupted. The BBB also loses integrity when the balance of essential minerals (calcium, magnesium & zinc) is disrupted. Mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde and polysorbate 80 disrupt this mineral balance. All of these are found in vaccines. When the integrity of the BBB is breeched, viruses and toxins are able to enter the central nervous system (the brain).

It is because of the vaccines. But, quit vaccinating, and these diseased will with certainty reemerge in our country. There have been reported cases of measles in California, Indiana, Kansas – after the booster given before kindergarten, you have an immunity. Vaccines save lives. I’d MUCH rather have an Autistic child than a dead one.

Question: Why have there been reported cases of measles in California, Indiana, and Kansas? Because measles vaccine is a live-virus vaccine. It sheds. People who get the vaccine are contagious for 3-4 weeks after they are vaccinated. The manufacturer’s insert (from the vaccine-maker) states that people should not be in crowded places (including classrooms or at the Superbowl after vaccination because they can spread the disease to others). That’s why in the last few decades more than 50% of measles cases have been the vaccine-strain – not the wild virus. The vaccine is causing the outbreaks. http://thinkingmomsrevolution.com/school-shots-2/
Question: Why do we have to have a “booster” given before kindergarten for measles?
Answer: Because when the measles vaccine was first marketed in the 1960s they thought it would provide lifelong immunity. They later discovered that approximately 10% of the population “failed” to develop immunity after the first vaccine. So, rather than testing children to see if they were immune, the government decided to “mandate” a second vaccine for the entire population, meaning that 90% of children were OVER-VACCINATED for measles. They were also injected with a second dose of DNA from aborted human fetal tissue – which we now know is a source of the autoimmune response and alterations in DNA of the recipients. http://www.cogforlife.org/SCPIIMFARHR.pdf
Statement: “I’d MUCH rather have an Autistic child than a dead one.”
Response: Me, too. Unfortunately, vaccines don’t just cause autism. They also kill children. They almost killed mine. They did kill Max, Moshella, Kaylynne, and Ian… and thousands more. The Hepatitis B vaccine alone has killed more 790 infants and children under the age of three years since 1991 – and those are just the deaths that have been reported. Hepatitis B is a sexually-transmitted disease. There is no justification for giving this vaccine to infants – especially since research shows that any immunity conferred is gone LONG before the child will become sexually active.
      Do you research.
      Educate before you vaccinate.

    • Smith,
My baby reacted to the hep-B vax with encephalitis and was later diagnosed with autism. I didn’t have the disease, I had said I didn’t want her to get it. Babies and children born to healthy mothers just don’t get the disease, which is a disease transmitted like AIDS, through sex and dirty needles used by drug addicts. Only 360 children a year were getting it in the 1980s, before the vaccination program started in 1991. Researchers said it was 30,000 with no basis in fact, just to get the vaccine program going, which has left many thousands of children with autism. They were at zero risk of getting the disease.
Neil Z. Miller as well as Wendy Lydall have compiled charts showing that rates of all the formerly common vaccine preventable diseses had plummeted before the vaccines for them were introduced. Diseases all have cycles of their own, pertussis for example has a natural cycle of peaking worldwide every 44 months regardless of the vaccination rates.
Measles and pertussis have become much milder in the last century, and are no longer dangerous diseases in the vast majority of cases. I had measles when I was a child, and both I and my daughter have had chickenpox and whooping cough. They were not serious diseases. Dr. Anne Schuchat of the CDC recently said that the outbreaks of pertussis this year in the U.S. have nothing to do with some people being unvaccinated: the vaccine just isn’t very effective, but luckily the disease just isn’t very dangerous.
The vaccines, on the other hand, are extremely dangerous, and I’d encourage you to read books like Make an Informed Vaccine Decision, by Dr. Mayer Eisenstein, stuffed with citations of scientific studies proving the dangers of vaccines and case reports of patients suffering death or permanent disability from the vaccines.
The children, like my daughter, developing autism as a result of having gotten the hep-B, MMR, or DTaP vaccines, were extremely unlikely to have had a life-threatening case of any of the diseases involved. Their chance of being disabled or killed by the vaccines were, and are, much higher than their risk from the diseases. It’s not a question of Thank God my preciouis autistic daughter wasn’t killed by measles( I said no to the MMR anyway), or pertussis (she got the DTaP at 2, 4, and 6 months, but caught the disease anyway at a La Leche League meeting when she was 8 months old), or what, hep-B? Thank God my baby didn’t lean out from her stroller on one of the two occasions she was downtown as an infant and pick up an infected needle thrown down by a drug addict and stick it into herself? Even the vast majority of people who get hep-B eventually make a complete recovery, it’s only a tiny fraction of the number that progress to liver disease and death, usually because their healthy has been otherwise impaired by alcoholism or drug addiction. I have no consolation at all to take refuge in that my child was permanently damaged by stupid vaccines, my only consolation is that society is going to have to pay big bucks to support her when I am gone.

For the women who already have grown kids, I only hope that these diseases don’t come sweeping through the country again, because your children will be the ones to get sick from them. And Polio has a mortality rate of 5-10%, after it paralyzed you. I know I’m not going to get through to those of you who are so steeped in this nonsense, and that really is a shame. But for those who are expecting children soon and are trying to decide whether or not to vaccinate, please do a lot more research than sites like this. These people have little idea of the consequence their decisions may have on their children and grandchildren. Ask yourself, should I really trust a group whose only sources are themselves, and who don’t even seem to understand what things like autism are? 2. “These disease” will not “come sweeping through the country again,” unless we lose the things that caused them to decrease in the first place: improved sanitation, clean water, improved living conditions and nutrition.
          3. Polio does not have a mortality rate of 5-10%. The polio vaccine has not eradicated polio. The only cases of polio in the U.S. in the last few decades were iatrogenic: caused by the vaccine. With regard to Dr. Wakefield, there have been multiple studies in several different countries that have supported his observations. Some of those studies were done as long ago as the 1970s. Others were performed here in the U.S., and were done for the specific purpose of refuting Dr. Wakefield. The problem is, if you read them and really understand them, they don’t refute Dr. Wakefield, they support him. This is one example: http://vaxtruth.org/2011/08/5of25/

  14. Becca,
I breastfed my daughter until she self-weaned at five and a half years old. She developed autism from encephalitis after the hep-B vaccine at birth, and further damage from a DTaP booster at 18 months. She actually didn’t have gut problems until she was seven. She has never had an ear infection or a diarrheal disease, and has always been remarkably healthy, which I believe is largely attributable to her having nursed for so long. Breast feeding is a wonderful way to promote the long-term health of both mother and child. However, it did not prevent her from eventually developing leaky gut syndrome, and severe, permanent constipation. However, I put her on the GFCF diet in March (using a wonderful vegetarian cookbook, The Welcoming Kitchen), and it completely resolved her digestive problems in just two days. It doesn’t seem to have improved the symptoms of her autism, though, maybe it eventually will, she was nearly twelve when we started the diet. So I’d have to say that no, breast-feeding won’t prevent leaky gut syndrome, though it’s wonderfully health-promoting in many other ways.

    • Yaffa: Please read the article. The title is tongue-in-cheek.
Vaccines destroy the enzymatic processes in the body. They destroy the immune system. The combination of immune system damage and the overuse of antibiotics definitely destroys the ecosystem of the gut, which, as you state, affects behavior and so many other things.
We are definitely in agreement. Vaccines cause autism. And many other neuro-immune disorders and death.

  20. Excellent. Bravo Marcella. It is the most straight forward and so simple that the government people should understand. But who knows… They still may not. That is why they work for the government.

    • There is one more thing: I read some of the comments. Where is the sense of humor of the responders? I guess “tongue-in-cheek” is too much to understand. Warning: it is an IQ indicator.

      • Andre, your comment shows a lack of understanding about autism or intolerance that magnifies our suffering at your hands. Our inability to get “tongue-in-cheek” is too much to tolerate! IQ is learning potential and has NOTHING to do with a “Sense of Humor”. For someone of your training to make such an insensitive attack on our intellegence shows great backwardness.. this person you call “stupid” is certainly tolerant and compassionate to differences in any aspect of life.

  21. David Kovachik,
You are misinformed if you think that if we do not vaccinate, then devastating diseases will sweep the country. Measles, mumps, chickenpox, pertussis, hepatitis A, rotavirus, flu, and rubella are mild diseases in the vast majority: i’ve had all of them but mumps, and they were no big deal. Meningitis is often more serious, but rare, and there have never been meningitis epidemics. Tetanus is serious, but good wound care and high-dose vitamin C therapy if the disease develops are preferable to the vaccine, which paralyzed both my arms for a few days when I was nineteen (brachial plexus neuropathy) and I went on to develop MS. My daughter has vaccine-induced autism (hep-b and DTaP vaccines). Most people exposed to polio do not get sick, about ten percent have flu-like symptoms for a week or so and get well. A third of one percent are paralyzed, but in most it is temporary, and they recover. I had a roommate who had had polio as a small child, and she walked with braces and crutches or was in a wheelchair: I don’t want to minimize the suffering of those who had a severe case, but most didn’t, and it should be a decision left to the parents. Most children in Third World countries developed immunity to polio from sub-clinical exposure before the vaccine campaigns, and now in India tens of t housands of vaccinated children are being paralyzed by a polio-like syndrome (see article in Deccan Chronicle). While it is possible for even healthy children to catch and have a bad case of a vaccine-preventable disease, it is very rare for this to happen. Vaccines disable or kill far more than they save.

  22. So should we not get vaccinations at all? Even flu shots? Should we not vaccinate our babies? But then what if they get sick and high fever, we would need to take them to the hospital and they would get medicated there in order to get better, isn’t that the same thing?

    Reply

    • “So should we not get vaccinations at all?”
      Correct.
      “Even flu shots?”
Even flu shots. Here’s an example of why:

Did you know… there is no clinical safety or efficacy data on the 2013-2014 Fluzone vaccine?
Here is the link to the vaccine manufacturer’s insert: http://tinyurl.com/k84ld3v
Go to section 6.1 Clinical Trials Experience.
The data presented for children age 6 months through 8 years comes from a study of the 2006-2007 Fluzone vaccine.
The data presented for adults 18-64 years of age comes from a study of the 2008-2009 Fluzone vaccine.
The data presented for geriatric adults (65 years and older) comes from a study of the 2006-2007 Fluzone vaccine.
This year’s Fluzone vaccine contains H1N1 as one of the strains of flu virus.
H1N1 was not included in seasonal flu vaccines until 2010-2011 vaccines, because it wasn’t discovered until 2009.
      http://www.flu.gov/blog/2010/02/blog20100222.html#
There have been ZERO clinical trials for this year’s Fluzone Vaccine.
Sanofi Pasteur and the U.S. government want you to rest assured that based on clinical trials of a different vaccine, performed years before H1N1 was even discovered, you have enough information to make an informed decision about the safety of this drug. Based on “Because we say so.”
BTW… according to VAERS, there have already been 13 deaths reported from the Fluzone vaccine in 2013 (as of Ocober 13, 2013).

“Should we not vaccinate our babies?”
Not unless you want your infant to be a human subject in medical experimentation. There has never been a single study done to investigate either the safety or efficacy of the CDC’s recommended childhood vaccine schedule. It’s all experimentation.
      http://vaxtruth.org/2012/02/cdc-recommended-immunization-schedule-2012-birth-through-6-years/
“But the what if they get sick and high fever, we would need to take them to the hospital and they would get medicated there in order to get better, isn’t that the same thing?”
No. Vaccines are given on the supposed premise that they prevent an illness, which the person may or may not ever be exposed to or come down with. History tells us that the reason infectious diseases have decreased is due to improved sanitation, better nutrition, less over-crowding, and clean water. In all cases of infectious diseases (including those for which there have never been vaccines), the death rates had declined by 90% or more before the vaccines ever became available.
      http://vaxtruth.org/2011/09/proof-that-vaccines-did-not-save-us/
And… children are supposed to get sick. It’s a natural process and is essential for children to get sick and recover from illness so they can strengthen their immune systems. When the immune system fights off a viral infection, it learns about how to fight future infections, including those that cause cancer. By denying our children the right to experience what used to be benign childhood illnesses, we are denying their right to strengthen their bodies. We now have epidemics not only of “autism” but also of autoimmune diseases, leukemia, lymphoma, and brain cancers in children. These epidemics did not exist a few decades ago.
We have been conditioned to be afraid of any illness, and we are over-treating with Tylenol for low-grade fevers and over-use of antibiotics for anything that might possibly be caused by a bacteria. Sore throat? Here, take this antibiotic. No tests done to confirm whether or not it’s bacterial. “Ear infection?” Here take this antibiotic – no bother checking to see if it might be a milk allergy (which is a significant cause of ear infections and sinusitis in young children).
If a child does get a serious illness and needs emergency care, that’s what the hospital is for, and that is VERY different from injecting children with vaccines that have not been tested, and which have no evidence of providing any protection from anything – and which are given for things that have never carried a significant risk of death for children living in the United States.

    • My earlier comments are here about my newborn reacting to the hep-b vax at birth with encephalitis for four days, to the DTaP at 18 months by having her only two words wiped out, and being diagnosed with autism two months later. She’s thirteen now, and still extremely low verbal, and cannot say more than one very short sentence at a time, has never described anything that’s happened to her. She just says Har, Har, a lot (our cat’s name is Harlequin, and she adores him). All because they gave her a shot I had said I didn’t want her to get, and later permitted her (reluctantly) to get the fourth DTaP, although she had caught pertussis at 8 months despite having gotten the shot at 2, 4, and 6 months that was supposed to protect her from pertussis (which wasn’t a big deal for either of us, although it lasted a long time). You need to keep young infants at home for the first six months or so, or even a year or two if possible, or in a small home-based daycare if necessary, to protect them from germs, especially from pertussis. If you breast feed the baby, that offers excellent protection from many diseases, including meningitis (Hib, Prevnar) and rotavirus. I breast fed my daughter, and to this day she’s never had diarrhea or an ear infection. The baby is at no risk from polio, diphtheria, tetanus (not until he’s older). Measles, mumps, and rubella are unlikely, but if he got them when he’s beyond the newborn stage, it would be in his longterm best interest. The short answer is that you have to take sensible precautions, read Aviva Jill Romm’s book Vaccinations, with excellent advice on caring for children with the formerly universal diseases at home, but cut youself loose from the pharma propaganda. I believe, after extensive, years-long research, that the vaccines are much more dangerous than they are protective. Maybe a tetanus series when he’s two, bearing in mind that even the tetanus shot can be dangerous, and it caused MS in me. Completely unvaxed children are healthier: yes, they may get some of the diseases, but having an intact, healthy immune system not screwed up by vaccines will work to protect them. Letting the immune system develop its skills by actually doing what it was designed to do will help insure the child’s lifelong good health and resilience. The vaccines often cause encephalitic brain damage of different kinds and many kinds of autoimmune disease. Read Heather Frasier’s book The Peanut Allergy Epidemic for proof that it’s the peanut oil adjuvant in many vaccines that has caused the peanut allerby epidemic in American children. Many children die of asthma and allergies, seizure disorders or SIDS, or other consequences of vaccination, many more are permanently crippled by them, you just have to look harder to read about them in our society governed by pharma interests. Better to let them medicate your child if it is needed rather than let them damage his immune system when any protection that might be acquired (or might not) is temporary and unreliable, and comes with so many side effects.

  23. We are all vaccinated, aren’t we? Honestly, I am just afraid of exposing my child to this world full of diseases being completely unvaccinated when I, my husband and pretty much everyone around him are.

    Reply

    • If you, your husband, and pretty much everyone around him are vaccinated, and the vaccines work, what are you afraid of?
You seem to be referring to what is falsely labeled “herd immunity” and your fear that if we stop vaccinating we will lose it.
You cannot lose what does not exist.
There is no evidence of vaccine-induced herd immunity. Those who tell you different will also tell you that if vaccination status against infectious diseases falls below 90% coverage, we will lose herd immunity and horrible plagues of “vaccine-preventable diseases” will re-emerge.
I am in my fifties. I was vaccinated in fifth grade against MMR and DPT. I got a smallpox vaccine and a polio vaccine as a young child. I have not received any vaccines in decades. My last (a flu shot) nearly killed me. That was in 1990.
Most adults in the U.S. have not been recently vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, rotavirus, or meningitis. Most adults walking around are not “up-to-date” on their vaccines and haven’t been since they left school. For those of us who left school several decades ago, that means we haven’t been part of “the herd” for a long time.
So… if you have to have 90% coverage of the population to maintain “herd immunity” and more than 50% of the population has been walking around without vaccine-provided protection for decades… and we haven’t had huge resurgence of “vaccine-preventable diseases,” that shoots a big, fat hole in the entire concept, doesn’t it?

  24. I believe the refrigerator mother theory needs to be revisited. Studies were very interesting and many children were recovered from autism by implementing different parenting practices but this theory was abandoned because of the pressures from parenting groups and not for scientific reasons. Not saying all autism is caused by this but some may and I really think it needs to be looked into again.

  27. I was one of the first children to have the triple vaccine in 1966 and my mother knew right away that it had damaged me (my nervous system, she said!). I changed from being a contented baby, to one that screamed incessantly, stopped sleeping and refused feeds. She saw nerves ‘jumping’ first in my face then all over, before a screaming fit began. At 18mths old I began head banging and didn’t respond to comfort. Between 2-7yrs I became afraid of people and would hide when the doorbell rang. If there were workmen outside making a noise, Mum had a terrible time trying to walk me to school. I was a selective mute – teachers didn’t realise I could talk until they overheard me chatting to another child one day after being at school a long time. I developed sensory issues, food faddiness and eye contact was painful. Anyway, I’m 48 now and have overcome many problems but still have autistic traits. Nobody can tell me that vaccines are not potentially harmful, perhaps more so to children who are more vulnerable to their effects, for whatever reason.

  28. To make another point, they should conduct a study with people who have autism and determine which vaccines they received. Has there been any cases of autism where the individual was vaccine free? Over the years, which vaccine or ingredients is the constant in individuals diagnosed with Autism? If they have not conducted this research or study, then they can’t rule it out.

  30. Brilliant and truly hits home. We lean on the moderate side of the vaccine issue and always believed the vaccines did not cause the autism but likely triggered what was living deep inside our son. We need to keep fighting the battle to have clean and safe vaccines. As well as not just add additional shots for toe nail fungus and ear hair growth! On a more serious side, we have been blessed that our son is slowly recovering and doing as well as we could ever expect. Thank you and keep fighting the good fight.
